shop update

just finished and listed a new washcloth set! this one's a nice dark denim-like blue, and is one of my favorites so far. please click here to see it in my shop!
in other news, i just finished reading stephanie pearl-mcphee's knitting rules! i recommend it to anyone who enjoys knitting and wants to learn a bit more about it, it's got tips, little charts, patterns and all. definitely worth it as a book to refer to as time passes.

shelf today

not much to say today--my designs for the shop have been piling up waiting for their photo shoots or new homes.. i feel so accomplished when my last row is bound off and the ends are ready to be woven in. i guess that makes me a product knitter. i love seeing these little skeins turn into warm, useful, beautiful things.

shift

i spent a long while putting this one together, a lot of frogging and re-knitting to make sure it was just how i wanted--and it's finally done. it's called shift, for its shifting ribbed stitch pattern which i love because it reminds me of little rows of little cells, gently colliding with each other. i'm really glad to see this finished, i'm so proud of it.
