finished a little washcloth set for the shop! they took forever to knit but i'm very happy to see the time was worth it, they came out looking really nice. click
here to see its listing on etsy. this little set will be soon be available in more colors, so sit tight and kindly check back often.
pattern : my own
yarn : lily cotton's sugar'n cream solids
needle : US 5[3.75mm]
size : 10.5x8in, 4.5in square
my favorite part of this set next to its color would be the moss stitch texture. it's enough to make for a good face scrub, but the yarn is soft enough to use on something like glass without worry of scratching it up.
i think i'm beginning to understand why it's called the 'golden hour.' around this time of day you see some really pretty color relationships around. i especially like how much bluer things in shadow look near what's brightly lit. learning about photography's been enough to lead me out of the house, even if it's just to the backyard today.

do you have a favorite time of day?

pattern : christopher by jane richmond
yarn : wool of the andes in cobblestone heather & coal
needles : US 7 [4.5mm]

[photography is hard.. ;;] jane's pattern called for 100g of each color, which turned out to be enough to make two of these nice hats. so one's for jason, and the other will be for me! this pattern was a pleasure to knit, and made for a nice introduction to knitting hats in the round with both double pointeds and a circular needle.

my new camera arrived right after a knitpicks order! couldn't help trying it out with some stash pics. being only slightly familiar with shooting manual, this camera's been a challenge to work with so far, but i'm sure shooting comfortably will come soon enough. anyway--4 little skeins of comfy sport in sweet potato! my plan for these is to make my first pair of socks using silver's tutorial.

i have a few wips lying around waiting to be finished so sit tight for a post about them once i do! in my spare time i'll be around learning how to use this thing and build some photo skills. <3
